good to see the pere ubu / los lobos, combination. i love those bands too, as well as beefheart and waits. all are heroes. i also love husker du ("zen arcade" has been one of my favorite rock albums for the past 17 years) and the beatles (though less than i used to), and some stuff by motorhead & wire. can't seem to get a grasp on the fall, though. i have several of their albums and dislike none of them, but they don't "do" it for me, it's as if there's some crucial key to the understanding of the band that i'm missing. can't get into nine inch nails either.or pavement, or those recent flaming lips albums

Wire/Husker Du/Motorhead: pure greatness. The Clash can blow me. People rave to me about some Los Lobos albums... what's the best?
